Windows cannot find start.exe. This program is needed for opening files of the type 'File'. However, I can right-click on the C drive and select 'Open' and that works fine. I have searched my hard drive for start.exe, but it could not be found. I have tried re-installing XP, but to no avail. Any suggestions? Is start.exe a real Windows program?
Windows cannot find and exe file upon launch. I was just wondering if someone might be able to help me with this, or at least help identify the file and if its one I need to reclaim. Any time I restart my computer the command prompt window opens and a pop up reading. I've been using firefox for a while on this computer now, but this morning I was hit with a popup saying: 'Windows cannot find 'C: Program Files Mozilla Firefox firefox.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.' I have so far tried every fix I can find (which aren't many for this glitch), and none have worked.

I have so far tried every fix I can find (which aren't many for this glitch), and none have worked. I have tried uninstalling and deleting all folders related to Firefox, and the new install still gives me the same error. My OS is Windows 10, and I have not had any problems with Firefox before this morning, nor have I made any changes to the files or anything of the sort. Just tried to run it and it gave me this.
